1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Hopisla platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.
2. Platform Description
Hopisla is a marketplace connecting travelers with sea transportation operators in the Philippines. We facilitate discovery and booking of sea routes but do not operate any vessels ourselves.
3. Bookings & Payments
Bookings made through Hopisla are subject to confirmation by the boat operator. Payment arrangements are made directly between the traveler and the operator. Hopisla does not process payments at this time.
4. Booking Lead Time & Confirmation Windows
To give operators enough time to prepare, bookings must be placed at least a few hours before the scheduled departure. Departures within this minimum lead time are not available for booking.
When you submit a booking request, the operator has a set window of time to confirm or decline it. For trips departing further out, this response window is longer; for trips departing sooner, it is shortened so that there is still enough time for you to receive confirmation and complete payment before departure.
Once the operator confirms your request, you will receive a secure payment link. You must complete payment within the payment window provided. As with the response window, the payment window is shorter for trips departing soon.
If the operator does not respond within their response window, or if you do not complete payment within the payment window, the booking is automatically cancelled. No charge is applied, and you are free to book an alternative departure.
5. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for providing accurate information during the booking process and complying with all applicable local laws and regulations regarding sea travel.
6. Limitation of Liability
Full terms to be provided. Hopisla acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not liable for the services provided by boat operators.
